Guide to the best makeup for glowing skin

Get Glow skin in 4 steps

They say less is more, and that definitely applies to the glowy makeup look! If you want the kind of natural dewy, glowing look that’s trending right now, the key is using less products so that your own skin shines through. But how do you know which products to pick up?

Our beauty experts share their five steps to get glowing skin with makeup.

Step 1: Treat your skin

Beautiful, glowy makeup starts with your skincare routine. After cleansing, treat yourself to a brightening sheet mask, like the Lift & Glow Glutathione Deluxe Sheet Mask. This will plump up your skin and leave it with a healthy-looking glow. For the best results, pop on the mask for 10-15 minutes, and then massage any remaining serum into your skin. Apply moisturiser and wait five minutes for it to absorb.

Step 2: Prime your skin

To give your skin that lit-from-within glow, use a hydrating primer. The Rise and Shine Illuminating Primer is the perfect base for foundation and is packed with light-diffusing pigments for instant luminosity. It also contains Green Tea and Vitamins C and E, which work together to even out your skin tone and prep it for makeup. Just like with moisturising, you’ll want to give the primer a few minutes to work its magic before moving on to the next step.

Step 3: Apply a hydrating foundation or tinted moisturiser

For a fresh-faced, flawless finish, reach for a dewy foundation, like the Luminous Hydrating Foundation. If you only want or need a little coverage, you could even skip foundation altogether and try the Sheer Radiance Tinted Moisturiser. Both formulas are enriched with Hyaluronic Acid, vitamins and nutrients to deeply hydrate and nourish the skin. Since they’re free from toxins, they won’t clog pores, cling to dry patches, or irritate sensitive skin either. To ace your base, apply a thin layer of foundation or tinted moisturiser, and blend, blend, blend!

Pro Tip: If you want to cover up dark circles, blemishes or redness, use your fingertips to apply the Glow This Way Illuminating Concealer. It diffuses light, which will draw attention away from any imperfections.

Step 4: Add a flush of colour

Now that your base is done, you can dab a glowy highlighter onto your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose, along your brow bone and on your cupid’s bow. To make your eyes look bright and wide-awake, you could even pop a little highlighter on the inner corners of your eyes. The Liquid Gold Jelly Highlighter has an intensely glowy formula and glides on easily. Plus, it’s full of Vitamin E to hydrate your skin all day.

Step 5: Finish with a lip oil

To complete your drew makeup routine, steer clear of matte lipsticks and swipe on the Lavish Lip Oil. It’s non-sticky and non-drying, and has a beautifully glossy finish.

And that's it! You've just learned how to nail the glowy makeup look in five simple steps.
